Spring/Summer 2020 Trends

Looking over the trends that we can expect to see in Spring and Summer in 2020.

Hi guys! We are already into Spring, but Summer is just around the corner. I have just recently been getting back into reselling now that I have some more time on my hands since I am done with the spring semester at school. I wanted to get back into my blog posts and YouTube videos so I thought I would keep you guys updated as what we can expect to be popular in the next few months. With the quarantine starting to lift in some states I thought this would be a perfect time to share since we will be able to get out and go sourcing (if you so choose) or we can still source these styles online through retail arbitrage (RA blog post linked HERE).  Let’s get into the styles!

Bermuda Shorts

WOW. I can’t even believe I am typing this out, but yes they are making a come back. I personally am not into this style for myself because I am 5’0″ so this style would make me look incredibly short, but for taller people, this would be great! If you guys have watched the latest Poshmark Trend Report (video will be linked at the end of this post) you would remember that this is the FIRST trend they mentioned which means that it will definitely be popping up in the app so keep your eyes peeled!

Two Tone Items

This was another trend that was mentioned in the recent Poshmark Trend Report and I honestly love this trend. I think it is so fun a different and it brings a playful feel to fashion which can be missing sometimes. I think is probably my favorite trend that we will be seeing going into Summer and I will definitely have to purchase some items that fall into this category.

Chunky Boots/Sandals

This is another trend that was mentioned on the Poshmark Trend Report, but was also mentioned on many other fashion websites (all sites will be linked at the end of this post). We are used to seeing this trend near the Fall and Winter months, but by pairing these items with dresses and skirts it adds an edgy vibe to the outfit. I think this a really cute trend and a great way to get more wear out of your items.

Chartreuse

This is a color that will be very popular in the upcoming months because of how bright it is. Last year we saw neon colors in the Spring and Summer months and this color is very similar to that. This is a bright yellow/green color that we will see in swim suits, tops, sports bras, and other clothing items.

Matching Sets

This has been a popular style over the past few years, but we will be seeing a lot of these over the summer because of how easy they are to throw together. I personally love sets because you don’t have to think about putting an outfit together. I have been seeing sets all over my Instagram feed lately so this is definitely a style to look out for.

Tie Dye

This trend has been ALL over my Instagram these past few weeks of quarantine. People have ordered some Tie Dye items off of Amazon, Revolve, and even making them at home. We will continue to see this trend going forward into the year because of how colorful and bright it is.

Cosmo Summer 2020 Trends

Definitely make sure if you are listing any items that fall into any of these categories that you are using the key words to describe them so people can easily find your items!

Thank you guys so much for reading this post! Let me know down below which upcoming trend is your favorite and will be purchasing next! Also let me know of any future blog post ideas you would love to see from me!

XOXO, Cait

[…] I have been reselling now for about 3 years and I have sold a lot of Free People in my time. Throughout those years I have seen the popularity of Free People go down, but does that mean that their items aren’t worth picking up anymore? YES. You have to know which items are in demand, recent styles, and what the current styles are. I have done a recent post about the upcoming Spring/Summer 2020 Trends so if you haven’t read that post that would be a great place to start! Linked HERE. […]
